About Eli Hans
Eli was born in Mexico City. His family moved to San Diego, CA when he was 14. He studied theatre at UC Santa Barbara, and later transferred to Cal State Long Beach where he earned a BA degree in film and TV production with a minor in graphic design.

He produced national and regional TV commercials for the Hispanic market in the U.S., went on to produce large-scale events for corporations, and developed a successful voiceover career for over 20-years. He was director of a bilingual theatre education program at the Old Globe Theatre, was Artistic Director of The Institute for Arts Education, and assisted directors Richard Seer and Mark Wing-Davey in award-winning plays at the Globe and La Jolla Playhouse.

Eli studied acting at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre, in Hollywood. He co-directed Xtreme Unction in NYC, one block from Broadway! After a couple of years producing theatrical events, Eli shifted gears and began a successful career as an interior designer with his amazing husband Joseph Bennett. After moving to San Miguel in 2010, their mutual love of theatre was revived. And here we are!
Since then, Eli has appeared in The Long Weekend, Opus, Dinner With Friends, and various play readings; he's co-founder of The Improv People, teaches improv and acting, and is a transformational theatre coach, supporting solo theatre artists to share their amazing life stories from the stage.

After a scary close call with cancer in 2014, Eli began to write what eventually became his award-winning, mostly one-man musical Out of The Blue.

About Joseph Bennett
The other half of this dynamic duo, co-producer of the Solo Theatre Festival and co-star in Out of the Blue, co-founder and resident teacher of The Improv People, Joseph also dedicates his time to writing self-healing books, co-hosting the popular podcast Are You Waiting for Permission? with Meridith Grundei, making assemblage art with found objects, and supporting his life-coaching and hypnotherapy clients to their highest potential.

Joseph credits his high school theatre program, under the wise direction and counsel of Peter Rosaker, for saving his life as a teenager. It was there that Joseph learned the transformational power of theatre.
