Meet the guys behind all of this
Eli Hans and Joseph Bennett are multi-passionate entrepreneurs, personal growth workshop leaders, actors, theatre producers and lovers of all the arts.
Eli's experience with creating and performing his award-winning "mostly" solo show Out of The Blue (along with Joseph) - and meeting so many outstanding solo theatre artists along the way - was so transformative, that he decided it was vitally important to share the incredible art of solo theatre with the San Miguel community, while helping to keep live theatre alive and well!
This carefully curated inaugural Solo Theatre Festival brings you a well-balanced blend of dramas & comedies, all with the common theme of "resilience": a personal narrative of an iconic celebrity we love; autobiographical stories of overcoming personal challenges; a totally unique perspective about mental health; an original, inspiring musical; a historical-fiction story about the birthing place of America's famous comics; a powerfully relevant piece of "journalistic theatre," and... a student showcase of solo theatre artists of the future.

WHAT IS SOLO THEATRE?
Solo Theatre is a thrilling and unique theatrical experience. As the name implies, there is one - or mostly one - actor on stage, often playing a variety of characters to portray their story in an artistic and compelling way.
When done right (and our goal is to bring you the best) solo theatre is powerful and nothing short than mesmerizing to experience!
This festival of solo theatre is designed to ignite your imagination, inspire and provoke you, and delight you in every possible way.
We hope you'll join us for all six of our shows (it'll be hard to choose, we know!) Q and A artists' panel, talkbacks after performances, Masterclasses taught by the artists, and the Student Showcase, giving solo artists of the future a chance to share what they're bringing to light!
